Autumn Colors Below the Livingston Range
Location Origin Story
From left to right we see Wolfgun Mountain, Anaconda Peak, Livingston Peak, Paul Bunyons Cabin, Rogers Peak, Heavens Peak, and Mount McPartland. This is all part of the Livingston Range, located on the west side of Glacier National Park, this range begins at Lake McDonald and ends at the Canadian Border, some 30 miles to the north.
In the lower part of this image, we can see the long horizontal depression made by the North Fork of the Flathead River which travels the full length of this renowned valley. The fall colors have begun spreading their vibrance across the valley and up the sides of the mountain as the weather travels towards its annual winter destiny.
