Bull River and Ibex Peak In The Late Summer

The Bull River slowly meanders south towards Clark Fork, it is late summer, and the plants are slowly beginning to turn fall colors. Ibex Peak is in the middle along the mountains on the horizon, to its left is Little Ibex Peak, to its right is Lentz Peak. Across the valley under the clouds lay Snowshoe Peak and the smaller Scotty Peak. This is the Cabinet Mountains where Bull River was a popular game trail between the Kootenai River and Clark Fork for the First Nations Ktunaxa (Kootenai) and Pend-d’Oreille (Kalispel) tribes for millennia.
