Great Bear Wilderness Dusk

The Great Bear Wilderness radiates an alpenglow blue hue at dusk in the Flathead National Forest southwest of Glacier National Park in northern Montana. The Bob Marshall Wilderness, along with Scapegoat Wilderness and Great Bear collectively hold over 1.5 million acres of almost untouched landscape. Very few lakes are in this wilderness, but over 500 miles of streams and rivers run through this expansive network of mountains and valleys.
These endless mountains and valleys provide prime grizzly bear habitat. Spread throught the Gread Bear Wilderness are some of the densest grizzly bear populations in the lower 48 states. For the full story on this image visit the corresponding page on Where Eagles Fly
