Hoskinnini Mesa
The mysterious and otherworldly Monument Valley glows a purple hue under the dark clouds of an Autumn rainstorm. In the foreground is Hoskinnini Mesa with a lone towering Hoodoo formation standing strong against the elements and in the background under a low lying cloud layer is the mystical and spiritually inspiring Monument Valley, (“Tsé Biiʼ Ndzisgaii”, for “valley of the rocks“).
Hoskinnini Mesa was named after the First Nations Diné leader, Hashké neiní, (Diné for” The Angry One” ) who was born close by in the Monument Valley area. For the full story on this image visit the corresponding page on Where Eagles Fly
