Lake McDonald From Above Apgar Mountains

The pristine snow-fed waters of Lake McDonald glow a deep blue summer hue in this scene of a late afternoon in Glacier National Park. As viewed from above the Apgar Mountains, this is the western entrance into the park. Howe Ridge and the Livingston Range with Heavens Peak in the clouds are on the left and the Garden Wall towers at the far end of the lake while Snyder Ridge, Mount Brown, Mount Canon, and Bearhat Mountain along with the Lewis Range are on the right. To the bottom right in the foreground is Apgar Village.
