North Fork Valley Panorama
Location Origin Story
The North Fork of the Flathead River comes out of Canada, crossing the border into Montana near Kintla Lake. Winding its way south it crosses through a most beautiful valley sitting under the stunning, jagged skyline of the Lewis Range in Glacier National Park. This is a true wilderness, seen here in this panoramic vista, from above Starvation Ridge just west of the Boundary Mountains on the border of Canada and Montana.
This straight-line panorama encompasses the entire Livingston Range, The North Fork Valley, the Flathead National Forest, Coal Creek State Forest, The Apgar Range, and in the far distance, the Flathead Range and the Lewis Range. This is a unique vision of the unbridled beauty and wondrous glory of the wilderness of northern Montana.

About This Photograph
This stunning straight-line panoramic scene was filmed by Zedekiah from his bush plane in the morning during the early part of May. Flying in an elliptical curve while shooting one image every other second provided a full range of high-resolution photographs that were accurately stitched together in this panoramic scene.
Image Rarity
The image was taken from a moving aircraft, as Zedekiah piloted the aircraft while simultaneously operating the camera. It was taken in inclement atmospheric conditions with a combination of low-hanging cumulus clouds rapidly moving storm front that was difficult to maneuver around.
Zedekiah used the manner in which these clouds shrouded the mountains as a backdrop, a scene that is utterly impossible to predict, timing and being in the place-in-space for this scene to reveal itself was crucial to this image composition.
This image comes with a very rare Cinematic Provenance Film made to illustrate how the photograph was acquired.
Lastly, it is impossible to simply walk up a trail and take the same photograph again. This image was very difficult to create, and is truly one-of-a-kind, therefore making it extremely rare.
