Saint Mary Lake Panoramic View
Location Origin Story
In this rare scene, Saint Mary Lake, filmed from the base of Divide Mountain on the First Nations Blackfeet Reservation sits below the towing mountains of Glacier National Park. On the far left horizon is Mount Logan, and the giant mountain to the left above the lake is Red Eagle Mountain. Above the lake, in the distance, we can see the pinnacled peaks of Reynolds Mountain on the left, and Clements Mountain on the right. To the right of that we see the flat mountaintop of Going-to-the-Sun-Mountain and to its right, Goat Mountain, Otokomi Mountain, Singleshot Mountain, and Napi Rock.
This panoramic view represents a rare view of the world seen for thousands of years by the First Nations people that lived along these mountains, valleys, and forests.
About This Photograph
This stunning scene was filmed by Zedekiah while hiking and exploring the eastern edge of Glacier National Park on the boundary with the Blackfeet Reservation. It is easy to see how these mountains played a profound role in Blackfeet traditions through time.
The image is taken on the ground in a place others can hike to, meaning it is not that difficult for others to take a similar photograph.
The rarity of this image comes from the volumetric texturization for micro shadowing, therefore it is rare due to its printing process.
This image is offered as a signed open-edition print.
There are One Hundred (100) artist proofs available.
Suggested Media Substrate
This image best suits Satin Metal with a lustrous flat, non-reflective finish. It is available for additional custom texturization to produce enhanced micro shadowing across the print’s surface.
