Location Origin Story
This is the ancient traditional homelands of the First Nations Blackfeet Tribes, their huge Nations Reservation (Blackfeet Indian Reservation) lies on the other side of Saint Mary Lake in this image as far as you can see. The rugged jagged cliffs of Going-To-The-Sun Mountain are in the left foreground with Goat Mountain behind.
On the right side of the image in the immediate foreground are the raw cliffs of Little Chief Mountain and up the image, a bit behind the shadows lay Mahtotopa Mountain and Red Eagle Mountain.

About This Photograph
This inspirational scene was photographed in the late evening during the month of August while Zedekiah was flying and exploring the Lewis Range in Glacier National Park around Logan Pass and Gunsight Mountain.
Image Rarity
The image was taken from a moving aircraft, as Zedekiah piloted the aircraft while simultaneously operating the camera.
Zedekiah used the manner in which these clouds shrouded the mountains as a backdrop, plus the ending light of the evening as a filtering effect, where timing and being in the place-in-space for this scene to reveal itself was crucial to this image composition.
Lastly, it is impossible to simply walk up a trail and take the same photograph again. This image was very difficult to create, and is truly one-of-a-kind, therefore making it extremely rare.
